Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe Airport
On arrival at the Airport, you will be welcomed by our company representative. Depending on the time of your arrival, Early arrivals will enable you visit some places in Entebbe like Botanical gardens, Snake Parks and the Entebbe Zoo. However with late and evening arrivals, your driver guide will transfer you to your Hotel in Kampala for dinner, refreshments and overnight stay at Sheraton Hotel (Luxury)/ Cassia Lodge (Midrange)/ The Lodge (Budget)
Day 2: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast at your Hotel in Kampala, the driver will pick you up and drive you to Fort Portal and then to Kibale Forest National Park which is the most accessible rain forest. The Park is a habitat to a variety of primates in East Africa. Upon arrival, go for a guided nature walk or carry out a short community tour to the neighboring communities surrounding the Park. Dinner overnight at Primates lodge (Luxury)/ Mountains of the Moon (Midrange)/Rwenzori Guest house (Budget).
Day 3: Chimp tracking and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Upon having breakfast in the morning at your lodge, you will go for the life time Chimpanzee tracking experience in their natural environment and habitat. You will first report to the Park Headquarters at Kanyachu for a briefing about the chimp trackers code of conduct by a UWA official and then later go for the morning chimpanzee tracking experience. You will penetrate into the forest under the guidance of an armed ranger for the tracking. Besides the chimps, you may spot other primates and these include: Varvet Monkey, L’hoest, Blue Monkey, Red-Tailed Monkey, Grey Cheeked Mangabey, Black And White Colobus Monkey and many more. Return back to the lodge for Lunch and in the afternoon proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park which is the most popular protected area with a stunning location on the rift valley floor between Lakes Edward and George. En route to the Park you will enjoy a game drive that will expose you to different wildlife species such as Elephants, Buffalos, Uganda Kob and if you are lucky, you may also spot the Hyena, Lions, Leopard and perhaps the Giant Forest Hog. Dinner and overnight stay at Mweya safari lodge (Luxury)/ Enganzi Lodge (mid range)/ Simba safari lodge (Budget)
Day 4: Game drive and afternoon Launch cruise
After your breakfast, you will go for the morning game drive in Kasenyi area to search for different wildlife animals missed out in the previous game drive. Later visit the Katwe explosion craters. Here you will spot Kitagata Lake and the enormous Kamengo Crater and this will give you clear view of different wildlife around the Park. In the afternoon, go for the launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel where you will be rewarded with wildlife sights of species like the Hippopotamuses, Waterbucks, Crocodiles and a variety of Water Birds like the black bee- eater, several species of falcons and the raptors. Dinner and overnight stay your lodge.
Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, you will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park via the Ishasha sector commonly known for the rare tree climbing lions. These are basically found in the tall fig trees and acacia trees. Have lunch at Ishasha as you spot the hippos in the Ishasha River. You may also spot buffaloes, leopards, Kob and topis on the plains of the area. Proceed to Bwindi for refreshments, dinner and overnight stay at Mahogany Springs (Luxury)/ Buhoma Lodge (Midrange)/Buhoma Community Bandas (Budget)
Day 6: Gorilla tracking in Bwindi and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast, you will report to the park headquarters where you will be briefed about the mountain gorilla trackers code of conduct. Later you will penetrate through the impenetrable forest for a more adventurous and exciting lifetime experience of Mountain Gorilla tracking. You are all reminded to go with your packed lunch and bottled water since the tracking duration depends on the ease to see the gorilla that day and where they slept the previous night. Besides the Gorillas, you will also spot other forest wildlife like the Black and White Colobus Monkeys, Red Tailed Colobus, Blue Monkey, L’hoests and baboons and many more. After the trek, you will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi via Kabale region which is commonly known as the “Switzerland of Africa”. You will reach Lake Bunyonyi by evening. Dinner and overnight stay at Arcadia Cottages/ Heritage Lodge
Day 7: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda
After breakfast, you will enjoy a morning boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi for scenic views and bird watching. The lake has forested and green Islands which habits different bird and wildlife species. Return back to your lodge for lunch and after proceed to Rwanda through the border after Kisoro and at the footsteps of Muhavura volcano. you will arrive at Volcanoes National Park in time for dinner and overnight stay at Muhabura Hotel (Budget)/Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge (Mid range)/ Mountain Gorilla View Lodge (Luxury)
Day 8: Dian Fossey Hiking / Golden monkey tracking
Take breakfast and head to Karisoke research centre to hike the Dian fossey tombs.OR go for golden monkey tracking. In the evening, you will cross border to Uganda and overnight at Travelers Rest Hotel.
Day 9: Return to Kampala
After Breakfast, drive to Kampala with lunch stop on the way. Stopover on your way could be in Ankole grassland where long horned cattle are common sight. Continue and stop at Mpambire in Mpigi an art and craft center where drum making technology has been passed on from generation to generation. Check in at Cassia Lodge or The Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 10: Departure
If time allows, visit Botanical gardens before transfer to the airport for your homebound flight.
