Day 1: Transfer to Jinja
You will be welcomed and briefed by our company representative who will then transfer to Jinja and the journey will offer you with sights of the en route flora and Fauna in Mabira forest and also a stopover at Sezibwa falls. The falls are on Sezibwa River which is the only river believed to be born by a human-being. Detour the Mabira forest where you will enjoy spontaneous views of the bird life and monkeys at this spot. Proceed to the source of the Nile. Dinner and overnight stay at Cassia Lodge (Deluxe)
Day 2: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, the driver will pick you up from your hotel in Kampala and then be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park. En route to the Park, you will stopover for souvenir shopping at the equator and you will get a chance of witnessing the water experiment at this very spot.
After the water experiment, you will proceed to Mbarara town for Lunch. En route to the Park, enjoy a game drive. Dinner and overnight stay at Enganzi Lodge (mid range)
Day 3: Chimp tracking and afternoon Launch cruise
In the morning, you will set off to the forest for chimpanzee tracking adventure with the park rangers. You will also encounter other primates as baboons, vervet monkeys, and others. Later visit the Katwe explosion craters. Here you will spot Kitagata Lake and the enormous Kamengo
Crater and this will give you clear view of different wildlife around the Park. In the afternoon, go for the launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel where you will be rewarded with wildlife sights of species like the Hippopotamuses, Waterbucks, Crocodiles and a variety of Water Birds like the black bee- eater, several species of falcons and the raptors. Dinner and overnight stay at Enganzi Lodge (mid range)
Day 4: Game drive and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda
After your breakfast, you will go for the morning game drive in Kasenyi area to search for different wildlife animals missed out in the previous game drive. Return back to your lodge for lunch and after proceed to Rwanda through the border after Kisoro and at the footsteps of Muhavura volcano. You will arrive at Volcanoes National Park in time for dinner and overnight stay at La Palme Hotel (Deluxe)
Day 5: Mountain Gorilla tracking and Cultural Tour
After breakfast, you will transfer to the Park headquarters at 7:00am for a briefing from the ORTPN Ranger guides. After this, you will be accompanied by your ranger guide and start your trek into the forest to search for the habituated Mountain Gorilla family allocated to your group. The time you will spend in the forest searching for the Gorillas is not predictable as it
depends on where they spend the last night. Once you come across the Gorillas, all the troubles you have gone through to reach them will be easily forgotten and instead utilize the1 hour you have with them to get a great experience. You can observe them in terms of behaviors as well as taking photographs. Return to the lodge for refreshments. In the afternoon, you may go
for a cultural walk to the banyarwanda community. Dinner and overnight stay at your previous lodge.
Day 6: Golden Monkey trek/Dian Fossey Hiking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast, you will go for the trekking of the Golden Monkeys in the Virunga forest. Alternatively, you can trek the Dian Fossey’s grave and also visit her research center at
Karisoke. On return, you will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi by evening. Dinner and overnight stay at Arcadia Cottages
Day 7: Transfer back to Kampala – Entebbe
After breakfast, you will enjoy a morning boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi for scenic views and bird
watching. The lake has forested and green Islands which habits different bird and wildlife species. On return, you will drive back to Entebbe. Dinner and overnight at Boma Hotel.
