Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe Airport
Upon arrival at the airport our representative will receive you. Early arrivals will enable you visit some places in Entebbe like Botanical gardens, Snake Parks and the Entebbe Zoo. However with late and evening arrivals, your driver guide will transfer you to your Hotel in Kampala for dinner, refreshments and overnight stay at Hotel Sojovaro (Budget)/ Cassia Lodge (Deluxe)/ Sheraton Hotel (Luxury).
Day 2: Transfer to Jinja
Enjoy a cup of coffee and then drive to Jinja enjoying sights of the en route flora and Fauna in Mabira forest and also a stopover at Sezibwa falls. The falls are situated on the Sezibwa River, the only river believed to be born by a human being. Detour the Mabira forest where you will enjoy spontaneous views of the bird life and monkeys. Proceed to Jinja where you will visit the mighty Source of River Nile. Later head for dinner and overnight stay at Cool Breeze Hotel (Budget)/ Sun Set Hotel (Deluxe)/ Jinja Nile Resort (Luxury).
Day 3: Transfer to Murchison falls National Park
After your breakfast, you will transfer to Murchison falls National Park having lunch en route in Kampala. You will take another stopover in Masindi town for refreshments and later proceed to the park entering through the Kichumbanyobo gate. Upon arrival, freshen up and head for dinner and overnight stay at Red chill campsite (Budget)/ Sambiya River Lodge for (Mid range) Paraa Safari Lodge (Luxury).
Day 4: Game drive and launch cruise along the Albert Nile
After taking your breakfast, you will set out for a spectacular game drive along the northern sector of the Park. Here you will be able to spot animals like; Lions, Elephants, Buffaloes, Warthogs, baboons, Giraffes, Water bucks, bush bucks. If lucky, you can also spot the Leopard. The game drive may normally take between 4-5 hours. Return to your lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, you will take a launch cruise along the Albert Nile where you will spot animals like hippos, crocodiles, Oribis, buffalos and the wonderful bottom of the falls. Return back to your previous lodge (Day 3) for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking and top of the falls
After breakfast, you will go for chimpanzee tracking in Kaniyo Pabidi area within Budongo Forest. There are a number of chimpanzees as well as other primates. Have lunch at Kaniyo Pabidi and in the afternoon, visit the top of the falls where you will be rewarded with sights and sound on the Albert Nile crashing through the chasm. The water forces it’s self in a narrow gap in a rock only 7 meters wide pouring into a gorge 43 meters down thus making a thunderous roaring sound. Return back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at your previous lodge.
Day 6: Transfer to Kibale National Park
Take a warm cup of tea and drive to Fort portal town with lunch en route in Hoima. Along the way you will enjoy spectacular views of the magnificent scenery as you drive through the traditional homesteads and farms. Reach Fort Portal in the evening and then proceed to Kibale Forest National Park. Dinner overnight at Chimpanzee Guest house (Budget)/ Chimp’s nest (Midrange)/ Primates lodge (Luxury).
Day 7: Chimp tracking and Bigodi Swamp walk
Wakeup very early for breakfast and after set off for the life time Chimpanzee tracking experience. You will first report to the Park Headquarters at Kanyachu for a briefing about the ‘does and don’ts’ while with the chimps, then proceed with the adventure. You will penetrate into the forest under the guidance of an armed ranger for the tracking. Besides the chimps, you may spot other primates like; Varvet Monkey, L’hoest, Blue Monkey, Red-Tailed Monkey, Grey Cheeked Mangabey, Black And White Colobus Monkey and many more. Return back to the lodge for Lunch and later go for the afternoon Bigodi swamp walk to search for different bird species. Dinner and overnight at your previous lodge (Day 6).
Day 8: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After a warm cup of tea, you will depart Kibale Forest National Park and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park which is the most popular protected area with a stunning location on the rift valley floor between Lakes Edward and George. En route to the Park you will enjoy a game drive that will expose you to different wildlife species such as Elephants, Buffalos, and Uganda Kob. If lucky, you may also spot the Hyenas, Lions, Leopard and perhaps the Giant Forest Hog. Dinner and overnight stay at at Simba safari lodge (Budget)/ Hippo Hills camp (Deluxe)/ Mweya safari lodge (Luxury).
Day 9: Game drive and afternoon Launch cruise
After breakfast, you will take a morning game drive in Kasenyi area to search for different wildlife animals missed out in the previous game drive. Later visit the Katwe explosion craters. Here you will spot Kitagata Lake and the enormous Kamengo Crater with a clear view of the different wildlife around the Park. In the afternoon, go for a launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel where you will enjoy spectacular wildlife sights of species like the Hippopotamuses, Waterbucks, Crocodiles and a variety of Water Birds like the black bee- eater, several species of falcons and the raptors. Dinner and overnight stay at your previous lodge (Day 8)
Day 10: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, you will drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park via the Ishasha sector commonly known for the tree climbing lions. These are basically found in the tall fig trees and acacia trees. Enjoy a relaxed lunch at Ishasha as you spot the hippos in the Ishasha River. You may also spot buffaloes, leopards, Kob and topis on the plains of the area. Dinner and overnight stay at Wagtail eco safari camp (Budget)/ Buhoma Lodge (Deluxe)/ Gorilla Forest Camp (Luxury).
Day 11: Gorilla tracking
After a warm heavy breakfast, you will immediately report to the park headquarters for briefing about the ‘does and don’ts while with the gorillas. Later you will penetrate through the impenetrable forest for a more adventurous and exciting lifetime experience of Mountain Gorilla tracking. You are all reminded to carry along your packed lunch and bottled water since the tracking duration depends on the ease to see the gorillas that day and where they slept the previous night. Besides the Gorillas, you will also spot other forest wildlife which include; the Black and White Colobus Monkeys, Red Tailed Colobus, Blue Monkey, L’hoest and baboons and many more. Retire for dinner and overnight stay at your previous lodge (Day 10).
Day 12: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After a warm cup of coffee, you will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi via Kabale which is commonly known as the Switzerland of Africa. The journey will offer you with sights of the beautiful terrain of the rolling hills with terraced landscape. Upon arrival at Bunyonyi, you will have lunch and later go for an afternoon boat ride on the lake viewing different birds on the many small islands on the lake. Dinner and overnight at Bunyonyi overland Camp (budget)/ Bunyonyi Overland Resort (Deluxe)/ Arcadia Cottages (Luxury).
Day 13: Transfer to Lake Mburo
Depart Bunyonyi immediately after breakfast and drive to Lake Mburo National Park with lunch en route in Mbarara town. Upon reaching lake Mburo, you will enjoy an afternoon boat ride along Lake Mburo viewing the park’s wildlife such as the hippos and a variety of water birds that may include the African Fin foot, Pelicans, Black crake, Heron, cormorant, fish eagle if lucky you will spot the rare shoebill stork . Dinner and overnight at Rwonyo Camp (Budget)/ Arcadia cottages (Deluxe)/ Mihingo Lodge (Luxury).
Day 14: Game drive and transfer to Kampala
After your done with breakfast, you will take an early morning game drive expecting to see animals like the Giant eland, Impala and Burchell’s zebra, Buffalo, Oribis, Waterbucks, Reedbuck and the Rare Sitatunga. Thereafter depart for Kampala with an en route lunch stopover at the Equator. You will reach Kampala in the evening for dinner and overnight stay at your hotel (Day 1).
Day 15: Transfer to Ngamba Island and Departure
Your guide will pick you from your hotel immediately after having breakfast and drive you to Entebbe pier for the transfer to Ngamba Islands Chimpanzee sanctuary either by Speed boat which takes 45 minutes or by traditional boat which takes 90 minutes. The Sanctuary is habituated by over 40 orphaned Chimpanzees. En route to the sanctuary, you will cross the equator and upon arrival, you will visit the Chimpanzees from the Visitors viewing platform as they feed while in their natural environment. After the interaction, you will return back to the shores to get your boat back to Entebbe pier. You may visit the Uganda wildlife Authority for viewing animals in their cages. Later you will be dropped off at the Airport for your scheduled flight back.
